Construction and Early Use

Built in 1896, the Kickernick Building was one of the first skyscrapers in Minneapolis. Initially, it housed a boot and shoe company and later became the headquarters for Kickernick, a women's lingerie and undergarment maker

The building's history is deeply tied to its function as a garment-making factory, which was one of the few professions open to women in the early 20th century. This aspect of its past influenced the renovation, with elements that honor the building's history and the women who worked there

The building underwent significant renovations in 2017 and 2018. These renovations focused on enhancing its historic charm while updating it for modern use. Original materials like brick and timber were exposed, and new elements like a lobby atrium, new elevators, and updated bathrooms and corridors were added
